Description
Genus Description - Dioecious trees or shrubs. Leaves opposite or subopposite. Flowers unisexual, small, light-colored, in terminal corymbs; bracteoles minute, persistent; Staminate perianth bell-shaped; stamens 6-8, exserted, the filaments connate at base into a tube; pistillode reduced. Pistillate perianth tubular to bell-shaped; staminodes smaller than the ovary. Anthocarp fleshy without glands, the endocarp hard, striate.
