Description
Species Description - Differing from C. flexuosus in having less developed basal auricles, hyaline, thin-walled basal cells, large ventral leucocysts (occupying 1/2 the height of the section), as well as a virtual absence of tomentum.

C. tallulensis Sull. & Lesq. ex Sull., Musci Bor.-Amer. 73b. 1856.
On soil and tree trunks at medium altitudes; Chiapas, Hidalgo, Michoacan, Nayarit, Oaxaca, Veracruz.—Mexico; Colombia and Bolivia; Arizona and Wyoming; southeastern United States. The complete distribution is not known because of confusion with C. flexuosus.
