Description
Genus Description - Herbaceous twining vines. Leaves opposite, small and petioled; stipules minute, interpetiolar. Flowers minute, produced in short -peduncled or sessile axillary cymes; calyx 5-parted, the sepals usually with glands at base within; corolla bell-shaped, the petals usually hairy within; corona with 5 appendages; stamens inserted at base of corolla, connivent around the conical stigma. Follicle linearfusiform; seeds numerous, with a tuft of hairs at apex.
