Description
Species Description - Similar to P. ptilodon except: lower laminar surface glabrous or with evenly dispersed 0.1 mm long appressed hairs, lacking hairs in oblong patch around sorus.

Polypodium consimile Mettenius, Ann. Sci. Nat. Bot. V, 2: 253. 1864. Type. Colombia. Ocaña, “Norte de Santander,” Schlim 633 (B; isotypes BR, G, L). Pecluma consimilis is distinct by its brown stipe, comose rhizome scales, reduced lower pinnae and evenly distributed abaxial trichomidia.
