Description
Species Description - Rhizome long-creeping, up to 10 mm thick, clothed at apex with ovate-lanceolate, light brovsm scales up to 10 mm long and 4 mm wide. Fronds close to 3 cm apart; sterile fronds up to 1.3 m long; stipes about equalling the blades, up to 7 mm thick near base, yellowish-brown, rather densely fibrillose-scaly toward base. Sterile blades broadly ovate-oblong, acuminate, 30-60 cm long, 25-45 cm broad, 1-pinnate; lateral pinnae 2-5 pairs, altemate, oblique, lance-ovate or oblong to ovate, mostly 15-25 cm long, 4-10 cm broad, the apex acuminate-caudate and somewhat falcate, the base usually inequilateral with the convex basiscopic side wider than the flatter acroscopic side; terminal pinna much wider than the lateral ones but not much longer; rhachis, costae, costules, and sometimes a few veins minutely and distantly fibrillose-scaly on abaxial side. Fertile fronds with stipes up to 90 cm long; fertile blades much smaller than the sterile ones, with fewer pinnae; fertile pinnae distant, lanceolate to narrowly oblong, up to 15 cm long and 3(-5) cm wide.
