Discussion
Polypodium tenuipes (Maxon) Christensen, Index filic. suppl. 1: 63. 1913. Type. Guatemala. Alta Verapaz: Nr. Cobán, Türckheim II. 1952 (US!; isotype US!). Campyloneurum tenuipes is similar to C. xa-lapense but with a longer stipe, larger rhizome scales, conspicuous lateral veins, and 6-10-seriate sori. Campyloneurum xalapense is somewhat intermediate between C. tenuipes and the C. angustifolium-amphostenon complex; perhaps allopolyploidy is involved.
