    Species Description - Rhizome short-creeping, 4-7 mm diam., patinose; rhizome scales 3-5 mm long, 1-1.5 mm wide, clathrate, brownish, lanceolate-deltate, with overlapping-cordate base; fronds 15-62 cm long, clumped; stipe lacking or extremely short; blade linear-elliptic, long-acuminate at apex, gradually tapering to base, 4-12(-l 6) mm wide; rachis pale, glabrous, lighter than the lamina, main lateral veins immersed and inconspicuous; sori round, in 1-2 irregular rows.

    Polypodium angustifolium Swartz, Prodr. veg. ind. occ. 130. 1788. Type. Jamaica. Presumably Swartz (S). Campyloneurum angustifolium is commonly confused with C. amphostenon, which see description of for distinguishing characters.
