    Species Description - Rhizome creeping, branched, densely clothed toward apex with brown articulate hairs. Fronds closely distichous, the sterile ones arching or ascending, 11-70 cm long, with stipes as long as or exceeding the blades; fertile fronds slightly longer and more erect; all with strongly pubescent stipe and rhachis, the leaf-tissue sparingly hispidulous on both sides. Sterile blades ovatedeltate or subpentagonal, 5-35 cm long, 4-28 cm broad at base; pinnae stalked and inequilateral, close or distant; ultimate segments mostly oblong- obovate, obtuse, of subcoriaceous texture, the margins erose-denticulate and thickened, the venation flabellate, free. Fertile pinnae rigidly erect, usually shorter than to slightly exceeding the sterile portion of the blade. Spores cristate, the ridges undulate.
