Gardner s.n. fl. Sep 1829. Rourea induta var reticulata differs from var induta mainly by the prominent reticulate venation on both surfaces of the leaflets, and by the leaflets which are glabrous rather than more or less tomentose. The characters delimiting this taxon are few, but rather consistent and show clear differentiation from those attributes of var induta. It has been considered advisable to maintain it as a variety following Baker and not as a form as was considered by Schellenberg. The ecology, affinities and pattern of distribution of var reticulata are discussed in conjunction with those of the typical form; see under R. induta var induta.
