    Species Description - Thinly puberulent shrub or liana of glabrate aspect. Leafstalk 4-6 cm, finely puberulous with longer petiole than rachis and an inconspicuous, slender, pointed gland between lower leaflet pair and another terminating rachis; leaflets 2 pairs, ovate to ovate-lanceolate, slightly asymmetric, acuminate or not, acute, the distal pair 5-8 cm, 2.5-3.5 r; blades coriaceous, dull or shiny, often with eccentric midvein, persistently strigulose beneath (magnification). Stipules semipersistent, falcately attenuate or twisted, 6-8 mm. Flowers in small terminally congested racemes, often subtended by reduced leaves. Sepals subequal, ca 8 mm; corolla yellow, 1.6-2.5 cm diam; stamens 7, subequal; pistil lanate. Legume (immature) linear, turgid, 10-20 cm long, 1 cm diam, glabrous at maturity.
