Description
Species Description - Prickly shrub; new growth villosulous. Leaves (3-)6-12 cm; leafstalk glabrate to pubescent; pinnae 6-8 pairs, 5-6 mm apart; leaflets 9-15 pairs, overlapping, broadly oblong to oblong-lanceolate, (3-)4-5 (-8) mm, reticulate, glabrate to cinereous. Flowers in axillary pink heads, ca 1.5 cm diam, congested toward stem tips; peduncles shorter than leaves. Calyx .6-1 mm, apically sinuate; corolla ca 3 mm with short lobes. Legume oblong, straight or slightly curved, 2-3 cm long, 6-7 mm wide, not segmented; margins straight, somewhat prickly; valves coriaceous, glabrate at maturity, ultimately separating from margin as single units.
