Description
Species Description - Shrub or small tree. Foliage glabrate; gland depressed, medial to distal on petiole; pinnae 2-4 pairs; leaflets 4-5(-6) pairs, obovate to broadly elliptic, 1.6-2.5 cm long, 1-2 cm wide, 1.3-2 r, lighter below than above, with secondary nervation. Stipules ovate-acuminate, often conspicuous. Heads 2.2-2.5 cm diam, fascicled, 1-2 in axils or in small axillary racemes. Legume stipitate (1.5-2 cm), oblong, strongly compressed, 6-12 cm long, 2-3 (-4) cm wide, the valves membranous.

Discussion
L. latisiliqua acut. I have collected this species in the Miami area, but it does not seem common. Barrett (1956) states that it was frequent in cultivation in the past.
