Description
Species Description - Shrub or small tree, velutinous-pubescent on young parts. Petiolar gland proximal, narrowly elliptic, nearly flat, another often also present between terminal pinnae; pinnae 8-12(-15) pairs; leaflets 20-25 pairs, oblong, nearly symmetric, 5-10 mm. Flowers in axillary, yellowish spike-like racemes 4-8 mm long, ca 2.5 cm wide. Legume stipitate, oblong, laterally compressed, straight margined, 6-10 cm long, 1-1.5 cm wide; valves coriaceous, glabrous.

Discussion
Albizia distachya (Vent.) Macbride This species is treated by Enari (1962) and Mathias and McClintock (1963) and I have observed it several times in the field.

S urban California and Arizona. Cultivated ornamental and sparingly naturalized. Native of Australia.
