Discussion
CN 2n = 26 (Chevalier, 1945). This species is enumerated in most California horticultural references and is said by Jones (1933) and Riedel (1957) to be a “favorite.” I have seen it in commercial greenhouse offerings. Most specimens, however, are of institutional origin.
