Description
Species Description - Filaments forming a pulvinate or floccose stratum 1-2 mm. thick, 1-1.5 mm. long, 14—18 µ diam.; cells homogeneous, purplish or pale violet, subquadrate to 2 times as long as the diameter; otherwise as species.
Distribution and Ecology - Growing on soil, Coamo Springs, no. 292 c, type; on soil in a waterfall, about twelve kilometers north of Ponce, no. 1686
