  • Description

    Species Description - Filaments 250-500 µ long, moderately flexuous, 7.2-8 µ diam.; trichomes 4.8-5 µ diam., not constricted; bright blue-green; cells very short, 1.4-1.8 µ long, with fine granules along the crosswalls; apical cell capitate; tegument hyaline, homogeneous, smooth, about 2 µ thick.

    Distribution and Ecology - Growing on limestone among other Myxophyceae between Hatillo and Arecibo, no. 1392 b, type.
