    Description - Plant flowering to 13 cm high, widely stoloniferous. Leaves 15-20 in a suberect rosette, 30-60 mm long, without distinct sheaths, 11-15 mm wide, fleshy-coriaceous, pale green, laxly serrate with recurved spines 2-3 mm long. Inflorescence sessile or short-scapose, short and compact, few-flowered. Floral bracts foliaceous but reduced, exceeding the flowers; flowers sessile, 18-20 mm long. Sepals free, acuminate into a slender mucro, to 14 mm long, rigid, green with a white membranaceous margin; petals free 13-14 mm long, white, bearing 2 lacerate scales above the base, the blade spreading, oblong, obtuse; stamens exserted from the throat of the corolla, anthers 2.5 mm long; ovary 4-5 mm long; placentae central.
