Description
Description - Leaves over 8 dm long, sheaths narrowly triangular-ovate, 5 cm long, entire, dark castaneous, subdensely brown-lepidote beneath, blades to 23 mm wide, long-attenuate, narrowed at base, soon glabrous, 2 mm long. Inflorescences lateral, complanate, few-flowered; outer bracts broadly ovate, acuminate, 3 cm long, entire, dark castaneous, sparsely lepidote. Floral bracts narrowly lanceolate, acuminate, scarcely over 2 cm long, castaneous; flowers short-pedicellate. Sepals free, narrowly triangular, acuminate, pungent, 16 mm long, castaneous; ovary 10 mm long.
