  • Distribution

    Piptocarpha macropoda subsp. macropoda is found in southern Brazil. It is a large tree that occurs infrequently in the highlands. Elevation is ca. 900 to 1600 m. Flowering and fruiting occur from Aug to Oct. It is known only from a few collections.
