Description
Description - Plant stoloniferous; stolons 6-14 cm long, 4 mm in diameter. Leaves about 5 in each rosette, to 18 cm long, densely cinereous-lepidote throughout but soon glabrous; sheaths elliptic, ample, 3-5 cm long, entire; blades spreading to recurved, linear, attenuate, 10-14 mm wide, laxly serrulate with retrorse dark 2 mm long spines. Inflorescence 2-flowered, sunk in the center of the rosette. Floral bracts elliptic, apiculate, equaling the sepals, lepidote. Sepals distinctly asymmetric, 10 mm long, connate for 2 mm, lepidote; petal-blades ovate, acute; ovary cylindric, merging into the short obscure pedicel.
