Description
Variety Description - Densely silky-pubescent throughout with very short appressed and often some longer stiffly spreading hairs to 0.5-0.8 mm, the foliage silvery or greenish-cinereous. Lvs 1-2 cm; petiole 1.5-2.5 mm; gland 0.3-0.7 mm diam, commonly drumshaped and 0.3-0.7 mm tall; rachis 3-10 mm; lfts 3-6 pairs.—Collections: 9. Distribution and Ecology - Stony campo, on sandstone and quartzite, 1100-1300 m, local but locally plentiful, known only from the crest of Sa. do Espinhaço between Montes Claros and Diamantina, lat. ±16°45'-18°15'S, n.-centr. Minas Gerais.—Fl. X-VIII, probably most freely in the dry season.
