Description
Variety Description - Pubescence as described in key. [Key: "Annotinous branchlets glabrate or puberulent, green or brownish; along the Atlantic coast from s. Bahia to Parana."]—Collections: 34.
Distribution and Ecology - Open woodland and forest margins, becoming weedy in capoeira and in hedges, scattered along the coastal plain and Atlantic foothills below 500 m from near mouth of Rio Jequetinonha to Guanabara (±16-23°S); apparently disjunct in humid forest of e. slope of Sa. do Mar in Parana (25-25°30'S).—Fl. III-VI(-IX).
