Description
Variety Description - Calyx as described in key to varieties; lfts pubescent dorsally; androecium 5-7 cm.
Distribution and Ecology - In caatinga scrub and about outcrops in cerrado, near 750-1100 m, perhaps lower at its n. limit, scattered along right affluents of rio S. Francisco in interior Bahia, from Remanso s. to Caieteté thence n. across river into Pernambuco (Petrolina) and s.-w. Piauí (Pagehú), in lat. 9°40'-14°S. — Map 19. — Fl. XII, II-VI.
