Discussion
The capitula are yellow and variable in shape, at least in cultivation; the base is frequently not as contracted as in Parkia biglobosa and the nectar ring is usually absent. Parkia timoriana is bat-pollinated in Malaysia (Start & Marshall, 1976). This species is distinguished by its flattened pods, usually with straight margins, and somewhat sigmoid leaflets ca. 6.5-9 x 1.5-2 mm.
