Description
Description - Anthers 1.6-2.3 mm long; sporangia 1.4-1.9 mm long; anther gland 0.3-0.5 mm long; branching point of vascular strand in anther located at a place from 3/4 the height of the gland to higher than the gland. Ovary (2-)3-locular, the ovules 9-11 in all.

Distribution
Puerto Rico. Wet forests and serpentine barrens. Reported on sandy soil near sea level, on limestone at 60-70 m elevation, and on serpentine barrens from 200-800 m elevation.
