Description
Description - Leaves coriaceous, firm. Inflorescence bipinnate, elongate, lax; primary bracts exceeding the spikes, bright red or rarely pale greenish yellow. Floral bracts about half as long as the sepals.

Epiphytic in woods and cloud forest, 2400-3800 m alt, southern Colombia, western Venezuela, Ecuador.
