    Species Description - Tree; young shoots minutely appressed puberulous with brown hairs, becoming glabrous, greyish-brown, scaling, without lenticels. Leaves clustered, spirally arranged, 12.2-18.7 × 5-6.3 cm, oblanceolate to elliptic, apex shortly narrowly attenuate, base narrowly attenuate, chartaceous, glabrous; venation eucamptodromous, midrib slightly raised on the upper surface, secondary veins 11-13 pairs, parallel, slightly arcuate; intersecondaries absent; tertiaries fine, oblique. Petiole 2-2.5 cm long, not channelled, minutely appressed puberulous. Fascicles 3-8-flowered, mostly below the leaves, often clustered. Pedicel 6-7 mm long, appressed puberulous. Flowers bisexual (?). Sepals four, 3.5-4.5 mm long (outer shorter than inner), ovate to suborbicular, apex rounded, appressed puberulous outside, outer sepals appressed puberulous in the upper half inside. Corolla tubular, ca. 5.5 mm long, tube ca. 3 mm long, lobes four, ca. 2.5 mm long, broadly oblong, apex truncate, sparsely strigose outside. Stamens four, fixed about one third up the corolla tube; filaments 2.5-3 mm long, glabrous; anthers ca. 1 mm long, broadly lanceolate, glabrous. Staminodes four, ca. 2 mm long, narrowly oblong, apex rounded, glabrous. Disk absent. Ovary ovoid, four-locular, pubescent; style ca. 4.5 mm long after anthesis, tapering gradually from base to apex, slightly exserted, glabrous in upper half; style-head capitate. Fruit (not seen) 5-6 cm diam. Seed ca. 2.8 cm long, shaped like broad segment of an orange; scar ca. 2 cm wide. Field characters. Tree to 30 m high and 50 cm diam. with white latex. Flowers scented, greenish-yellow. Flowering Jul to Oct, fruit Oct.
