Description
Species Description - Thorny shrub ca. 1.5 m high. Leaves 1.5-4 × 0.6-2 cm, elliptic or elliptic-oblanceolate, glabrous above, woolly-villous below, indumentum persistent and rather loose, the hairs greyish or reddish. Corolla ca. 3 mm long. Anthers ca. 1 mm long. Staminodes equalling the corolla lobes, deltoid-ovate, erose. Ovary pubescent; style ca. 1 mm long. Fruit 0.8-1 cm long, subglobose (description compiled from Cronquist).

Discussion
Relationships. Combining the low, slender habit and small leaves of Sideroxylon reclinatum with the pubescence and larger fruit of S. lanuginosum, and possibly of hybrid origin.
