  • Description

    Variety Description - Shrub. Leaves mainly elliptic to lanceolate, rarely oval, 4.4-11 cm long, 2-6.6 cm wide, (1.7-)2-4 times as long as wide, densely pubescent beneath, the blade more or less bullate, the veins strongly raised beneath. Peduncles 1-10 mm long; Calyx-lobes usually acute, usually longer than wide after anthesis; petals sparsely to densely pubescent without.

    This variety is a shrub of cerrado and campos, found from Bahia to Paraguay.
