  • Description

    Subspecies Description - Leaves usually 2.5-4 times as long as broad, usually 2-6 cm long, base acute or attenuate, petiole less than 1 cm long. Corolla 4-5 mm long, tube 1/4 to 1/5 as long as lobes, style glabrous. Field characters. The one flowering specimen I have seen was collected in Apr, and fruits are recorded for Sept and Mar.

    Known only from Cuba (Pinar del Río, Havana, Oriente) where it occurs near the sea in coastal thickets and on serpentine barrens.
