    Latin Diagnosis - Arbor:; ramuli novelli subglabri, cano-brunnei, rimosi et fissurati, elenticellati. Stipulae 1.5-2 mm longae, anguste lanceolatae, caducae. Folia 5.6-11.3 × 2.9-4.4 cm, oblanceolata, apice obtusa vel emarginata, basi anguste attenuata, supra glabra, infra indumento arete et dense adpresso furfuraceo, luteo-brunneo, tenuiter coriacea, costa pagina superiore impressa, nervi secundarii ca. 16-jugi, venatio Superioris ordinis parallela ad nervos secundarios et de margine descendens. Petiolus 5-8 mm longus, canaliculata, subglaber. Fasciculi axillares, 10-20-flori. Pedicellus ca. 1.2 cm longus, puberulus. Sepala 3-3.5 mm longa, lanceolata, apice acuta, extra puberula, intra glabra. Corolla glabra, 2.5-3 mm longa, tubus ca. 0.5 mm longus; lobi sex, ad basim in segmenta tria divisa, segmentum medium anguste naviculare, unguiculatum, apice rotundatum, segmenta lateralia segmentum medium aequantia, anguste lanceolata. Stamina sex, glabra; filamenta ca. 1.25 mm longa, libera; an-therae ca. 0.8 mm longae, lanceolatae. Staminodia sex, glabra, 0.5-1 mm longa, apice irregulariter dentata vel lobata. Ovarium late ovoideum, 6-loculare, glabrum; stylus post anthesin 3-3.5 mm longus, glaber. Fructus ca. 2.5 × 1 cm, anguste ellipsoideus, laevis, glaber. Semen solitarium, ca. 2.2 × 0.6 × 0.4 cm, later-aliter compressum, testa laevis, non nitida; ci-catarix basi-ventralis, ca. 1.3 × 0.2 cm; embryo non visus.

    Description - Tree, young shoots subglabrous, greyish-brown, cracked and fissured, without lenticels. Stipules present, 1.5-2 mm long, narrowly lanceolate, caducous. Leaves 5.6-11.3 × 2.9-4.4 cm, oblanceolate, apex obtuse to emarginate, base narrowly attenuate, upper surface glabrous, lower surface with a dense, closely appressed, scurfy, yellowish-brown indumentum, thinly coriaceous; midrib sunken on the upper surface, secondary veins ca. 16 pairs, higher order venation parallel to the secondaries and descending from the margin. Petiole 5-8 mm long, channelled, subglabrous. Fascicles axillary, 10-20-flowered. Pedicel ca. 1.2 cm long, puberulous. Sepals 3-3.5 mm long, lanceolate, apex acute, puberulous outside, glabrous inside. Corolla glabrous, 2.5-3 mm long, tube ca. 0.5 mm long; lobes six, divided to base into three segments, median segment narrowly boat-shaped, clawed, apex rounded, lateral segments equalling the median segment, narrowly lanceolate. Stamens six, glabrous; filaments ca. 1.25 mm long, free; anthers ca. 0.8 mm long, lanceolate. Staminodes six, glabrous, 0.5-1 mm long, apex irregularly toothed or lobed. Ovary broadly ovoid, 6-locular, glabrous; style 3-3.5 mm long after anthesis, glabrous. Fruiter. 2.5 × 1 cm, narrowly ellipsoid, smooth, glabrous. Seed solitary, ca. 2.2 × 0.6 × 0.4 cm, laterally compressed, testa smooth, pale, not shining; scar basiventral, ca. 1.3 × 0.2 cm; embryo not examined. Field characters. A tree 15-20 m high, with small buttresses, and copious viscous white latex. The flowers are white to cream, mature fruit orange. Flowering Apr to Dec, fruit Apr to Jul.
