    Latin Diagnosis - Arbor vel arbuscula 6.0-8.0 m alta. Ramuli graciles, ad apices lutescenti-hirsutuli, deorsum griseo-corticati, striatuli lenticellisque applanatis dense obtecti. Folia oblonga, apice 1.0-1.5 cm longe sat abrupte acuminata vel sub-caudata, ipso apice acuta, basi subinaequilateralia, late attenuata usque sub-truncato-obtusa, tenuiter chartacea, concoloria, in sicco viridi-brunnescentia, supra costa excepta glabra, subtus ad costam nervosque laterales dense ad venas venulasque laxe vel vix lutescenti-hirsutula, subserrato-crenata (0.3 mm), 6.0-11.0 cm longa, 2.5-3.5 cm lata, nervis lateralibus 5-6-paribus angulo acuto curvato-ascendentibus haud inter sese conjunctis, in sicco supra sicut costa manifeste impressis, subtus prominentibus, venis transversis numerosis approximatis, cum venulis rete densum utrinque elevatulum formantibus; Petioli hirsutuli, 3.0-5.0 mm longi; stipulae anguste lanceolatae, hirsutulae, ca 5.0 mm longae, basi 2.0 mm latae, caducae. Flores 6-10 ad fasciculos axillares sub anthesi subsessiles, sub fructu per 0.5-1.0 mm longe pedunculatis aggregata albidi, demum rubescentes, lutescenti-subsericei, statu iam paullo deflorato tantum cogniti; bracteae minutae; pedicelli medio articulati, 1.0-1.5 mm longi. Sepala 5, ovato-oblonga, erecta, dorso puberula, intus subglabra, tota 6.0-7.0 mm longa, basi ca. 3.0 mm lata. Stamina 10, alternatim paullo inequilonga; filamenta ipsa basi pubescentia, ceterum glabra, ca. 2.5 mm longa; antherae glandula barbulata apiculata. Disci lobi clavati, distaliter dilatata tomentosi, 2.0 mm longi. Ovarium ovoideum, subdense pubescens; stylus brevis; stigma capitatum. Fructus submaturus late ovoideum, sursum valde attenuatus, leviter 3-gonus, pubescens, saturate rubro-purpureus, 8.0 mm longus, 4.0 mm latus; semina 4-10, 2.0 mm longa, arillo pallido membranaceo inclusa; testa profunde foveolata.

    Distribution and Ecology - Brazil, only known around Manaus; in forest substage on terra firme.
