    University of Tehran Fungarium is the oldest fungus collection in Iran founded by Dr. E. Esfandiari (1909-1995) in 1938 at College of Agriculture and Natural Resources (known as Karaj Agricultural College at that time). Since 1938 the collection has been dealing with collection and identification of mycobiota in Iran with emphasis on plant associated and plant parasitic fungi.
