    Entered Jul 2013. The ontogenetic herbarium is herbarium of plants of different stages of individual development. Ontogenetic states were revealed with the use of the concept of discrete description of ontogenesis taking into account morphological features-markers (table). The goal is to document every species in the Ontogenetic Herbariumwith specimens in different ontogenetic states from plantules to the senile plants (complete ontogenesis). Our Ontogenetic herbarium has duplicates of some species that we are ready to interchange, and we can also take herbarium of ontogenesis of any types of plants on storage. Exhibits in herbarium are arranged in alphabetical order of latin names of families and species inside these families. Systematic catalogue renovates constantly, the ontogenetic states of species, places of collections and main collectors are indicated in it. The Ontogenetic herbarium in an accessible form for use, and includes 5330 mounted sheets of 607 species of plants from 369 genera and 86 families, and also 1 lichen and 2 types of gymnospermous and higher cryptogams plants. It is used both in scientific and pedagogical aims. The Ontogenetic Herbarium allows users to get skills of determination of ontogenetic states of plants of different biomorphes and to apply them for study and maintenance of population biodiversity. Today the Ontogenetic Herbarium is included in the department "Population-Ontogenetic Museum."
