Australian Scientific Exchange Program (loan, donation or exchange) for herbarium specimens or samples Scientific exchange of all CITES listed taxa from and to Australian institutions requires both the Australian and overseas scientific organisation to be CITES registered. Scientific exchange of any Australian native species not listed under CITES requires overseas institutions to be either CITES-registered or registered with the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment. Formerly "Herbarium Australiense." United with CBG (250 000 specimens) in 1993 under joint management. Specimens originally from CBG will continue to be cited as CBG. Administratively responsible for QRS (now part of CNS). Non-angiosperms are stored in a different building, at -35.278329, 149.108841. CANB is jointly administered by the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO) andthe Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment.
