Venezuela. Amazonas. Autana Mun. Caño Piedra, east of río Cuao. Near second mirador on trail to Cerro Cuao. Semidediduous tall forest on sandstone. Alt. 600m. (1968 ft.)

Description:

Plants to two feet high and broad. Rhizome fibrous and though, either exposed of covered by other vegetation. Rhizime covered with persistent leaf bases, bases functioning as telmata, accumulating debris. Lateral branches present.
Habitat:

On a vertical wet rock face with Bromeliads, mosses and ferns. Also observed on steep, vegetated slopes covered with humus and sandstone rocks. With Stegolepis sp. and Didymiandrum stellatum (Boeck.) Gilly.
