For example,\u00a0<em>Lycopodium\u00a0lucidula<\/em>\u00a0(shining firmoss) is now a synonym of\u00a0<em>Huperzia lucidula<\/em><em>, i.e.<\/em>, the latter name is the one that lycopod\u00a0experts accept.<\/p>\n<p>Chadde, S. The New York Botanical Garden. 993 pp. This book provides keys and short descriptions of the vascular plant species of the northeastern United States. At the time of this publication the genus <em>Lycopodium<\/em> was the only genus recognized for the lycopods of this region.<\/p>\n<p>Holmgren, Noel H. 1998.
