Description:

Solid cocoa-brown forms growing on wood, blacking constriction at wood attachment, KOH pigment immediately rust orange then dark red. Spores 7.3 x 3.8 micrometers.
Feature Notes:

Checked mycology.sinica.edu.tw/Xylaraceae/ and didn't find any satisfactory matches under Diatrype, perhaps my Diatrype diagnosis is off as none on that site have reddish pigments. One photo.
