United States of America. New York. Putnam Co. ca 7 km W of New York/Connecticut border and ca 10 km N of Putnam/Westchester border, Ice Pond Conservation Area, E of Ice Pond Rd, W of Co. Rd 62 (Farm to Market Rd), N of Rte 312 and S of Rte 164. Alt. 135 m. (443 ft.)

Description:

Tree 12 m tall, the trunk 32 cm diam; bark grey, scaly or shaggy, the scales only moderately lifting ca 15 cm, long, vertical, ca 2-3 cm wide, smooth; crushed leaves feintly aromatic, the leaflets not more than 7 per leaf, dark green above. This is the same tree as collected in flower on 23 May 2009 (see Atha 7359). Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Railroad right-of-way.
