22. Stizophyllum Miers, Proc. Roy. Hort. Soc. 3: 197. 1863. Lectotype. S. denticulatum Miers =S. perforatum (Cham.) Miers. This genus is unique in its pellucid-punctate leaves. It is also characterized by white or magenta ''Anemopaegma-iypt'" flowers, an irregularly 2-5-labiate of expanded calyx, terete often hollow branchlets, and a very thin linear terete fruit. The tendrils m a y be simple or trifid. The genus occurs from southern Mexico through most of Brazil, a single species reaching Guayana.
