Description:

Slender, to 1.8 m tall, the stem single or 1-3-branched. Fruit bright orange, the pulp orange.
Habitat:

Slightly rolling, sandy soil, mostly open soybean etc. fields to the east, still remnant forest to the west. Brushy divisions between fields with remnants of original semi-deciduous subtropical forest plus weedy invaders such as Solanum riparium and Cnidoscolus basiacanthus.
