SUDENE, Recife, PE, Brasil. 1977) found the location of the Fazenda Bom Jesus, and noted its position relative to prominent nearby terrain features (just N of the third in a sequence of small hills, and right alongside the Rio Oricomirim). Using Google Maps - Terrain view, estimated the position of the Fazenda Bom Jesus referencing the terrain features seen on the paper map. Using Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs, found coordinates for this position. Because the Fazenda Bom Jesus does not have defined spatial boundaries, used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to approximate the linear extent by measuring to the nearest named place, Fazenda Dois de Julho (found using the same paper-map based procedure, -14.2727014 -39.2731619), then halving this extent. Input coordinates, linear extent (941.245 m), and measurement error (5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Named Place: Undefined Area).)
