Description:
A medium sized tree in the hill forests; stem 1.5 feet thick, 35-45 feet high, the main branches arising form below the middle; wood burly and whitish at least on the outside, rather tough, odorless, tasteless; bark thick, yellowish on the inner side, grayish, and smooth on the epidermis: branches numerous, lax and widely spreading; leaves submembranous, descendingly recurved especially toward the apex, margins wavy, smoewhat folded on the upper darker, green surface; inflorescence ascendingly spreading, all the stalks green; flowers odorous, pendulous, creamy white except the green ovary, the brownish or grayish brown anthers and the deep yellow in the region between the petals and stamens. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
