Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb 10 1.2m, inflorescence bracts dull red, flowers bright yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Open forest on high terraces. Much of this area either still dominated by arborescent bamboo (Guadua) or regenerating from a bamboo die-back that began two years ago. Occasional.
