Description:

terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb 1.3m, inflorescence erect, bracts green except keel and margin yellow, flowers yellow. In "baixo," only one seen fertile. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

"Baixo" (low terraces possibly flooded occasionally by overflowing streams, with semi-closed canopy including Hura, Moraceae, trunked palms, Sterculia, Eschweilera; understory with Marantaceae and Araceae); and surrounding slopes (with Averrhoidium, Couroupita, Moraceae, Annonaceae, Pouteria). Frequent.
