terrestrial herb. Terrestrial herb to 2 m, inflorescence axes in one plane, basal bract foliose, bracts yellow on keel and margin, red on most of surface, flower green. In "baixio" (low-lying area). Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Many Marantaceae, few lianas. Occasional. Sandy clay soil.
