Beginning at the point provided as the center of the Parque Nacional de Monte Pascoal by Google Maps (-16.8781624 -39.2523453), used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line to the approximate geographic center of the village of Barra Velha (-16.8618839 -39.1544151), then halved that distance to approximate the location of the geographic midpoint.
