Description:

Inflorescence tenaciously clinging to skin and clothing and partially disarticulating.

Habitat:

Flat, fine sandy soil. Tall chaco forest with Maclura mora, Pterogyne nitens, Galesia integrifolia, Myrciaria cauliflora. Remnants alternating with large cleared fields for soybean, etc.
