Description:

shrub. Unbranched shrub 1 m, flowers orange. In flat area near stream-bed. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Open forest with palms and weak presence of Guadua sarcocarpa, canopy ca. 25 m. Deeply dissected terrain. Many Marantaceae, few lianas. Rare. Sandy clay soil.
