Location:

Bolivia. El Beni. Cercado Prov. 7 km. SW of Trinidad, vicinity Puerto Almacen, along the Rio Ibare, a tributary paralleling the Rio Mamore. Alt. 200 m. (656 ft.)

Description:

Arching canes to 6 m. high. Most spikelets brown.

Habitat:

Flat, seasonally inundated, edge of short forest and roadsides. Common. Clay soil.
